On the road, an emergency beacon must be immediately noticeable. A light that is too dim or poorly visible significantly reduces its ability to warn other drivers. The DGT V16 beacon was selected for the power and clarity of its light signal: up to 700 candelas on-axis, a high-intensity yellow flash visible at 360°, and a range of up to approximately 1 kilometer under optimal conditions.
This strong light presence allows an immobilized vehicle to be identified much earlier, day or night, giving approaching drivers more time to slow down and adjust their path. Its robust construction, magnetic base, and IP54 protection make it a beacon designed to be truly used on the road, not just kept in the glove box.
1 Activate the beacon
Take it out of the glove box and press the top button. The powerful LED flash activates immediately.
2 Place it at the highest point
Attach it to the roof or a high metal part of the vehicle using its magnetic base, staying inside the cabin as much as possible.
3 The DGT is automatically notified
The beacon anonymously transmits its location to DGT 3.0. The incident can then be relayed to road signs and the navigation systems of approaching vehicles.
